The Legend of Korra Graphic novels are continuation of the Avatar series. These graphic novels are very entertaining! Contrary to the Avatar books, the main character Korra is very angsty and has a very tough personality. These are great if you want a fun engrossing graphic novel to read!

We Were Liars

This was a quick read and took me less than 24 hours. Although I didn’t like it at the first and found the main character a bit annoying, the ending took me by surprise and completely shocked me. It ended with a huge plot twist that I did not see coming at all. The book made me cry especially because of the poor dogs and Mirren, the girl who never got to love.

A Series Of Unfortunate Events: The Vile Village
by Lemony Snicket

"The Vile Village" is the seventh installment in the "A Series of Unfortunate Events" series. In this book, three orphans, the Baudelaire children, make a reappearance. In this novel, they are sent to a village in order to be safeguarded and experience utter comfort. However, the village that they arrive in is far from cordial. The place seems despondent and heinous. As per usual, Count Olaf makes a reemergence as he's still trying to procure and seize the exorbitant quantity of money left behind by the parents of the Baudelaire's. This book is unequivocally enthralling. The solid plot is accompanied by wonderfully crfated characters are marvelous writing. I prodigiously recommend this title!

The book 'Guts' by Raina Teglemeier is an autobiographical graphic novel. The main character of the book is a girl named Raina who wakes up with a terrible stomachache one day. Her mom also has a stomachache so they think it had to do with something they ate. When Raina goes back to school she realizes her tummy troubles are not going away. In the end, Raina Telgemeier again ends a hilarious story about growing up and conquering her fears.

One of my favorite books ever, and I do plan on rereading it!! The way this book is written is very intresting, I like how it switches between the perspectives of both twins, Noah and Jude. The character development for both of them is super week written and very enjoyable. I would recommend this book to teens and adults it’s definitely something very enjoyable and a great coming of age book.

Harry Potter And The Cursed Child
by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany & Jack Thorne

"Harry Potter And the Cursed Child" delves into the adult lives of the original Harry Potter characters as well as their children. Readers will once again encounter "time turners," magical devices that enable individuals to time travel. To be upfront, I am not a fan of the book. In relation to the "Harry Potter" series, this does not come near at all to the original books. For starters, the characters in this book are unreservedly different than they were from the seven book series. It doesn't make sense that Harry, a tender-hearted and cordial person has become utterly frigid. The way that Harry treats his son, Albus Potter, unequivocally makes no sense. Having been through an arduous child with no parents and living under the same roof as his inhospitable uncle and aunt, Harry, realistically, would never act somewhat bitter to his own child. Speaking of Albus, it is quite odd that he does not possess his father's childhood traits--he is quite the opposite. Instead of expressing gratitude for his comfortable life, he is indubitably ungrateful and jealous. I wish his character was a true reflection of Harry. The only thing I like about this book is Scorpius Malfoy, Draco Malfoy's child. Scorpius is kind and sweet, so it was refreshing to see. I don't recommend this book. In fact, I don't think it "exists" in the Harry Potter universe.

Ally is a girl who struggles with reading and writing, but she’s able to cover it up. But when she goes to a new class, her teacher Mr Daniels thinks she has dyslexia. I really liked this book because the main character was able to overcome a disability and show that not everyone is smart in the same way.

It S Kind Of A Funny Story By Ned Vizzini

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It touched on some very serious yet common topics many people face especially in high school. It is a great eye opener to mental health issues especially clinical depression in teenagers. It has a good ending and it made me happy to see Craig’s character development throughout the story. The side characters were very well written as well. I would recommend this book to older teens as it may be a little vulgar and younger kids may not understand it as well.
