Hardball: How Politics Is Played Told By One Who Knows The Game
by Chris Matthews

View in Library Catalog

This book is really insightful as it thoroughly explains how politicians maneuver their way up the top and procure power. This book discusses salient topics such as retail politics as well as a multitude of ways in which politicians can defend themselves. I like how this book integrates examples to manifest the meaning of certain terms and phrases. Overall, this nonfiction book is an easy-read and will unequivocally allocate a ton of knowledge to readers.

In the book Bloom by Kenneth Oppel, there is a rain that comes out of nowhere that carries a bunch of seeds that spread around and come up overnight. The plants are everywhere and they take over the cities, buildings, and houses. They swallow people and animals with their mouths.

Neon Genesis Evangelion Manga
by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto

Neon Genesis Evangelion is such a complex novel written by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. This noel is extremely futuristic and left me completely in shock at the end of the manga series. This series is so interesting because while Yoshiyuki Sadamoto was writing this novel, his poor mental health had impact on the main character as if he portrayed himself through the novel.

Cinder Lunar Chronicles
by Marissa Meyer

Fast-paced and really cute read. Felt a little predictable at times. Good book for fantasy and sci-fi lovers! Fairytale set in the future, filled with androids and lunars. Even in the future, the story begins with once upon a time…

The Art of Saving the World
by Corrine Duyvis

This was a book I got to review for School Library journal (it will be published in September). It was a science fiction story about a girl who lives on government land because a giant portal to another world opens on her property the day she is born. SHE is tied to it an cannot be far from it. She is forced to save the world with other versions of herself from the portal and a snotty dragon all while finding herself in the process. She is reluctant hero who turns into a very strong character!
