View in Library Catalog

In the book We Dream of Space by Erin Entrada Kelly, the main characters are three siblings named Cash, Fitch, and Bird. Cash is 13 and is the oldest and Fitch and Bird are 12-year-old twins. As the Challenger shuttle launch is yet to come each of the siblings deal with their own problems. Fitch has a temper problem, Cash is about to fail 7th grade, Bird always is getting lectured about dieting, and their parents are almost always in a fight. When the disaster happens they have to figure out how to deal with their problems together, not separately like they always have.

A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Miserable Mill
by Lemony Snicket

"The Miserable Mill" is the fourth installment in the "A Series of Unfortunate Events" series. In this novel, three orhans, the Baudelaire children, are to now reside with an owner of a lumber. This place is unequivocally weird and exudes an odious atmosphere. Not only that, but the cunning Count Olaf is after the Baudelaire fortunate---money left behind by their parents. I absolutely love the unique writing style of this book. All of the characters are so fun to read about because of their distinct personalities. I unreservedly recommend this title!

Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire
by J.K. Rowling

View in Library Catalog

"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" is the fourth installment in the "Harry Potter" Series. Once again, readers will be able to follow Harry Potter as he endures another unprecedented year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In this chaotic year, Harry is a candidate in the Triwizard Tournament. The Triwizard Tournament is an extravagent event in which three students from three distinct magical schools compete arduously to procure the grand prize. This book, as I like to call it, is the turning point in the series; this story unreservedly marks a change in tone and atmosphere. Where the earlier books catered to a younger audience by inaugurating a more whimsical atmosphere, this novel encapsulates an increasingly odious and sinister one. This book will indisputably make readers smile and burst into tears by the ends. Once again, recurring themes of family, friendship, and pertinacity are delineated. I recommend this book to anyone who is fond of the fantasy genre!
